O'Keefe Rail Trail Receives Funding for Extension (VIC)

The Victorian Government has committed $1.9 million for a 24 km extension of the O'Keefe Rail Trail from Axedale to Heathcote.
The trail, which currently only runs between Bendigo and Axedale, will greatly benefit from state government funding and as Regional Development Minister Jacinta Allan says, local government would find it difficult to fund without state government assistance.
The City of Greater Bendigo will contribute $1.3 million towards the project which will involve the construction of approximately 15 bridges.
