In March 2010 the Friends of the Dookie Trail group announced the opening of the Dookie Trail, which heads 5.5 Km north of Dookie, near Shepparton in Victoria.
And in May the City of Greater Shepparton had the trail surface sealed after obtaining some additional funding.
