Willunga Railtrail (South Australia)
06 August 2000
The Willunga Railtrail has the potential to provide a continuous linear pathway south of Adelaide over a distance of 34 km from Hallet Cove to Willunga.
Two sections of the trail have been open for some time: an 8 km section from Willunga to McLaren Vale and a 7 km section from Hackham to Old Reynella. Work is underway to link these two sections. The gap is now only approximately 3.5 km. Recent work has involved the restoration of the former railway bridge over the Onkaparinga River. Work was nearing completion in mid-July when these photos were taken.
