The Colac Otway Shire has decided to implement the Beechy line Railtrail Concept Plan. They will construct a railtrail on as much as possible of the old line from Colac to Crowes. This will link with the existing sections of the line that have already been converted to a trail. A Management Committee was established at a meeting held in Colac on Friday 18 August.
